Windy Windy Marshall

We had a great time in Marshall over Memorial Day Weekend. We stayed at Derek's brother Kurt's house. Papa and Silly Grandma joined us and stayed at a hotel where we took advantage of the pool. I am so sorry I forgot the camera for Allie's first swim. She loved it and looked ADORABLE in her little pink swim suit. We spent lots of time at the parks digging and sliding. We initiated the boys in the finer art of golf at the driving range. The boys and Derek tented it in the backyard. Those brave souls. It was ridiculously windy and I am surprised they didn't blow away. It was a great weekend away from home.

Music in the Park

Yesterday we took the light rail downtown. We met Derek and went to a free concert outside Orchestra Hall. The focus was on percussion, our favorite thing. We picnicked while we listened.

Dinner Snooze

We're heading West

We are counting down the days until we can go to Uncle Kurt's (Derek's brother) house in Marshall, MN. Weather permitting we will be camping in the back yard. It may also be the time the men in the family, (Derek, Kurt and Papa Bryant) initiate the boys into the wonderful world of the driving range.

Thank You

Thank you to all who supported us in the "I Love Life" Walk supporting Amnion Crisis Pregnancy Center. Our family raised $310 for the mammas, daddies and the babies. Thanks for your help!

No! Watch me!

Watch me mom!

More of the same

We visited the gym again this week. It is our new favorite place! We emptied the pit of roughly 8000 foam blocks(it needed fluffing up) then tossed them back in. Unfortunately the best trick of the day was not captured on film. I took a flying leap and made a grievous error. I went in like a pencil. Shoop! Straight to the bottom. Witnesses say I made nary a ripple in the surface. I had a brief panic moment where I thought I'd been buried alive but recovered enough to laboriously clamber out. The rest of our fun came from trying to prove to the other moms we could each still do a cartwheel. You know, there comes a point on the way down that you wonder if your arms will really be able to hold you up. Unfortunately by then you are committed. We all survived. Allie enjoyed herself with the ribbons. Next Friday should see us there again.

Open Gym

We have discovered a new treasure. IGM Gym in Burnsville has open Gym on Friday mornings. We discovered the wonders of a foam pit. The boys (and mom too) had much fun jumping in and climbing out. Let me just say I jumped in and worried they would need to call in a crane to hoist me out. Another time my feet were above the level of my head. I got a huge workout myself. Little Miss Allie chilled out in the ball pit. She thought it was great! I'm thinking of joining up and putting the boys in a class. Whether we do or not we will surely be enjoying open gym another day!
